Brandishing melodic pop-punk with a new face, Eat Defeat are rising through the scene as a standout act to look out for as they release their catchy new hit-single ‘Can’t Say I’ll Miss You‘ paired with a visually stunning music video, all in the lead up to their latest album ‘I Think We’ll Be OK’ that will see the world on August 3rd.

Known for their upbeat and high energy instrumentals, with deep and thought-provoking lyrics that convey an emotional message, “Can’t Say I Miss You” is set to be another success in Eat Defeat’s catalogue.

When speaking about the new single, Vocalist Andrew Summers shared that “It’s less about a bad breakup and more about an inevitable breakup, when you get to a point in a relationship where you realise neither of you regetting anything out of it and you’re just bringing each other down.”  “It becomes a drain and there’s this obvious realisation that one of you is going to have to be the one to end it, and I guess in this scenario I was the one who ended it. It was a pretty cathartic song to write really.

After 2 highly anticipated years in the making, ‘I Think We’ll Be Ok‘ is said to detail the highs and lows of a life lived on your own terms; the freedom that comes with the realisation that you are in control of your own destiny mirrored with the existential dread that realisation entails. It’s about finding the positives amongst the negative and reassuring yourself that life gets better. It’s about light and dark, night and day and coping with relationships divided by timezones.

This single leads into a variety of other exciting things for the band, including an extensive UK tour through late July and early August, kicking off on Tuesday evening:
