Cheryl Mann started her journalism career in 2001 where she soon discovered a passion for interviewing bands. During that time many great bands were emerging including the nu metal wave. Cheryl interviewed everyone from Supergrass to Slipknot to Slayer and everyone in between

Fast forward to now and she specialises in finding the best, most promising alt rising bands from all over the world to interview (they can be signed or unsigned, one year old or 20 years old as long as they are making waves and of the goth, rock, metal, emo, indie, alt etc genres)

Her Rising Bands Show highlights a band a week to delve into their musical journey behind the music, as well as sharing her favourite 5-6 songs of theirs during the show. Cheryl wants to show the brand new bands starting out that there is hope in an uncertain modern music industry by asking her rising bands how they survive as a band today. Let’s keep rocking and supporting new bands because one day they will be the legacy bands!
