Youth Illusion announce next single

Hot off the heels of latest single ‘Help Me To Believe’, alternative hard rockers Youth Illusion return with metalcore-tainted venom on their latest single ‘Blood on My Hands’ and stunning music video dropping 11/03/22. This marks the final run up before the london-based quartet unleashes their new EP ‘Seeking Answers in Silence’ which is set for release 25/03/22.

The project certainly doesn’t provide the titular silence it attempts to find answers in, with each of its six-song tracklist doing more than enough to give listeners whiplash across rampant breakdowns and stadium-ready hooks. It’s a soundtrack purpose-built for the mosh pits in style but reinforced by more than enough substance to pluck the heartstrings in emotional resonance. Whilst hailing from different corners of the globe – with members from South Africa, the UK, Italy, and the US – Youth Illusion stands united by the music that shaped them.

From a bird’s eye view, the band has concocted the perfect blueprint to propel their sound. A dash of modern fury from contemporary giants Rise Against and Biffy Clyro, the air of defiance and no-nonsense ethos of forefathers AC/DC and Guns n Roses with a garnish of 90s punk from Green Day and The Offspring; forward-thinking, orchestrated, and relatable mayhem that could only ever be Youth Illusion.

The band’s latest track ‘Blood on My Hands’ provides no false sense of security whatsoever, lurching straight into an ascending charge – with an assault of guitar chugs, punk-driven rhythms, and throttling bass to boot – before the centerpiece chorus emerges and immediately injects itself into the listener’s memory. The band pulls no punches either with the aural battery of riffs and growls climaxing in an animalistic breakdown that would happily send any unsuspecting crowd into a frenzy.

The accompanying music video sees the band unleash such hellfire in the intimate confines of the live room at the Hare and Hounds in Birmingham. It’s an energetic and eruptive performance supported by piercing strobe lighting that teases the true anarchy that will unfold when the track is brought to the live stages.

Youth Illusion truly is one of the most exciting names to be rising amongst the alternative scene with nothing but potential and promise up their sleeves. Audiences can look forward to hearing Youth Illusion’s next single Blood on my Hands March 11th, and the Seeking Answers in Silence EP on March 25th.
