Renowned Cambridgeshire rock band, The Forsaken, are set to captivate audiences once again with the release of their highly anticipated second single, “Serenity.” Led by the soul-stirring vocals of Dan Hunsdon, the track promises to deliver an electrifying blend of raw emotion and powerful melodies.
“Serenity” emerges as the latest addition to The Forsaken’s repertoire, following the success of their debut single “Pain”. “Serenity” is a powerful anthem born from personal triumph and inner peace. Frontman Dan Hunsdon poured his soul into this track, crafting it as a testament to his journey towards sobriety and clarity. “Serenity” marks a pivotal moment in Dan’s life, written after completing steps 4 and 5 of the 12-step program. Through the support of his sponsor and the determination to confront his past, Dan discovered a newfound tranquillity within himself.
This song isn’t just about overcoming addiction; it’s about embracing the serenity that comes with letting go of the things beyond our control. It’s a reminder to focus on what we can change, to find solace in the present and to forge ahead with courage and resilience. With its raw emotion and stirring melody, “Serenity” is a testament to the strength of the human spirit.
Produced by acclaimed producer, Jake Day, “Serenity” is a testament to The Forsaken’s commitment to musical excellence and innovation. The band’s unique sound and heartfelt lyrics set them apart in the competitive music industry, earning them a dedicated following.
“Serenity” will be available on all major streaming platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music on the 26th April 2024. Fans of The Forsaken and enthusiasts of rock music alike are encouraged to experience the magic of “Serenity” for themselves.
The artwork was produced by Freddie McKie, known for his work with bands such as Massive Wagons, Inglorious, The Hot One Two to name a few. The idea behind the artwork was to stylistically be in keeping with the previous release “Pain” but try and change the feeling within the piece. The elements around the face feel somewhat chaotic but the face is peaceful and calm in the middle of it all. The notion representing the eye of a storm.
There’s some key symbolism to do with the idea of serenity that also fit in with a theme of recovery, such as the birds which flow through the entanglement and come out the other side and the rising sun to represent not only new beginnings but also a light cutting through the dark. There’s also some faint olive branches included in the background which are a symbol of finding peace.
