SOS FESTIVAL / WHITTLES@TOKYO OLDHAM – Saturday 6/7/24
I survived the night in Oldham and I must thank Simon, who I’d spotted earlier in his ‘Wicked Rivers’ bucket hat, for sharing a taxi back to the hotel. It’s a biggie today, 13 bands are playing and again there’s a decent mix of genres to keep us all happy. After saying hi to the ‘Kinstrife’ lads, who were already set up indoors, I went outside to watch the first band of the day.

SOS FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES FULL LINE UP AND RUNNING ORDER
The SOS Festival at Whittles in Oldham is one of the most popular grassroot events of the rocking year. To celebrate the fifteenth anniversary, this years line-up is stupendous. Full details have now been released and with standard tickets at £30.00 for 3 days of music and 30 bands, that’s only £1 a band !!

SHARKFEST 4 / THE STATION CANNOCK – 28/10/23
Time for Sharkfest 4, which is organised by Mark Parsley and Sharon Crosby and is being held at The Station in Cannock. This festival has ten bands and the compère for the day is that lovable comedian Pete K Mally. Quite a mixed line up, besides the rock, we have Blues and Funk not forgetting the Flamenco Glam ! I get there just in time for the openers at 12.30 and the venue is already beginning to fill up nicely, including some Sharks !
