Connecticut progressive metalcore outfit Sirens Over Sumeria premiere their forthcoming label debut. The band would hit the studio in 2014 with Joe Din of Moosehead Studios to record the self-titled album, which can be streamed below, before shipping the record off to Perdition’s guitarist Andrew DeSanctis at Enslaved Sound Productions to have the album mixed and mastered. Demir had this to say on the album, “It consists of a variety of metalcore influences that includes lots of raging breakdowns but without an absence of fretwork. Lyric wise, the album is heavily based on video games because we’re a bunch of nerds.” Since forming in 2012, the band has combined the influences of the likes of Memphis May Fire, August Burns Red, I The Breather, The Amity Affliction, In Hearts Wake with raging breakdowns, technical fretwork, and video game based lyrical content to create the foundation this is found on their forthcoming self-titled album.
