The UK’s black metal poets Shadowflag will descend on the Carpathian Mountains next summer for the Ukraine’s Carpathian Alliance Metal Festival. Shadowflag is a band who forges their own path; weaving spoken word poetry with riff-laden black metal darkness. This is a combination that is sure to delight the blackened soul of the Carpathians next July.

JJ Flames, Shadowflag bassist and vocalist explains; “The true roots of extreme metal are found in the breathtaking expanses and isolated landscapes of our world. We feel drawn to these places and are excited to be able to bring the sound of Shadowflag to the Carpathian Mountains. For us, this is truly special and we cannot wait to be a part of this highly unique festival. Our promise is to bring a glimpse of the glorious UK scene to Carpathian Alliance Metal Festival.”

Following the release of their 2015 album ‘The White Grave’, Shadowflag has cultivated a fearsome live reputation in the UK, the band is looking to build on this in 2017 and keen to share their unique and exciting take on black metal with as much of the world as possible. They’re currently in the process of producing their third studio album, which is due for release next year and promises to be the most intriguing and powerful music that they have created to date.
