Rockin the Studio show – 28.05.18

This weeks trip through my mind is heavily based in the last of the 1980’s. Lots of 80’s metal, some widdly widdly players, some ballads and a whole heap of new tunes from established artists – you are VERY lucky people.

Features on this weeks show were:- Monday sexy, Musicians corner, the LOUD LOUNGE (three more great up and coming bands)…. and a new feature (trumpets and fan-fare) – ‘Would I lie to you?’ – the aim of this feature is to see if you can spot the intentional ‘un-truths’ (the usual factual mistakes don’t count!!!) that I give. The answer is at the end of the show. Let me know what you think of it.

So buckle up and strap yourselves in for three hours of awesome tunes:-

Bon Jovi – Bad Medicine
Bullet for my Valentine – Letting you go
Deep Purple – Burn
Diamond head – Am I evil
Dokken – When heaven comes down
Epica – Decoded Poetry
Five finger death punch – Gone away
Guns n Roses – Shadow of your love
Hatchetts for hands – No hope (FACEBOOK)
Hidden Intent – Addicted to thrash (FACEBOOK)
In this moment – Black Wedding
Iron Maiden – Wrathchild
Jimi Hendrix – Night bird flying
Judas Priest – Hell bent for leather
Lenny Kravitz – The Difference is why
Lordi – Your tongue’s got the cat
Queen – Tie your Mother down
Quiet Riot – Metal Health
Rainbow – Kill the king
Rolling Stones – Brown sugar
Savatage – White witch
Saxon – Princess of the night
Scorpions – Rock like a hurricane
Steve Vai – Crying machine
Stone Broken – Doesn’t matter
The Dystopian project – Ashes Of Time (FACEBOOK)
Those damn crows – Blink of an eye
Trauma – From here to hell
Tremonti – Take you with me
UFO – Mother Mary
Van Halen – Panama
Whitesnake – Still of the night
Yngwie Malmsteen – Teaser

The unsigned/up and coming bands that were on the show, I’ve included a link to their Facebook page. Please ‘like’ and share them and show some love as they work their asses off to create music. Without people like you….. smaller bands will never get to be bigger bands.

On the show, I also touched on the serious note of mental Health (it was Mental Health week last week). I’ve battled Mental Health for year and both my parents have Dememtia – Mental Health is silent hidden illness that a lot of people who don’t have it don’t understand. If you or some you know are affected by Mental Health then there are ALWAYS people to talk to. A good place to start is Time to Change. They have experts information that could help. Also, if you are in crisis and think that you have no one left to talk to or any further options then contact The Samaritans. I needed to once when I was at my wits end and couldn’t see any light.

No matter how bad things are, there are always options.
If you’re reading this and you aren’t from the UK, I’m sorry I can’t offer links, but it still stands that ‘there are always options’ and there is always someone to talk to. There may be some information here that will help.

So, your video for the week –
I mentioned in the show the trailer for the upcoming Queen Biopic. It looks good….. very very good.
