‘Project BLACK’ are a 5 piece heavy rock outfit from the North East, featuring the powerhouse vocals of Norman McGlen, guitar work by Chris Johnson & Phil Scott, the hard hitting drums of Adas Cowan and Duncan Emmerson on bass. You may remember ‘Fallen Mafia’ where 3 of these friends previously resided. Chris, Adas and Duncan are now joined by another long time friend Norman and they discovered Phil, to make up the new quintet. Once together, the writing soon got underway and now they have established themselves with a recent gig at Trillians Newcastle and the release of their first single ‘Set Me Free’.

The single is now available on all platforms, it’s a hard pumping and ferocious piece, savage drums as you would expect from Adas, while the vocals by Norman are seriously exhilarating yet transparent and melodic. Overall it spits shrapnel while remaining fervent and exceptionally refreshing. By all accounts ‘Project BLACK’ are going to be a welcome addition to the scene.
