UK-based technical melodic death metal act Monachopsis, have announced the release of new EP: The Carcass Choir, out independently on 21st November 2025. The band describe the EP as a tribute to the past and a glimpse into the future.

New tracks “The Carcass Choir” and “Letters from the Doomsday Vault” are brimming with the technicality, heft and melodic sensibilities one can expect from the bands previous work but venturing into darker, eerier and more atmospheric territories, while the re-recordings of setlist staples “Scathed by Branches of Malice” and “The God Project” bring a crispness, polish and maturity absent from the original lo-fi endeavours. Rounding out the experience is a cover of Darkest Hour’s “Love as a Weapon”; a track sentimental to the band due to its status being the first track performed live by an earlier iteration of the band.

The band sincerely hope that the final chapter of their EP trilogy is as enjoyable to the listener as it was for them to create, and that it cements them as a stalwart of UK death metal in the years to come.
