A wet Monday evening did not deter the die hard Michael Monroe fans from turning up The Mill in Digbeth, Birmingham.

First up were Black Country favourites Liberty Lies, who kept the crowd singing and dancing.  Featuring Mouth Breathers, Letters and A Thousand People (their latest single) off their new album which is due out on 29 November, the crowd appreciated Shaun’s powerful vocals.    Check out their album launch gig at Splinter Studios on 30 November.

A short break for a quick stage change saw Electric Eel Shock bound on to the stage.  Hailing from Tokyo their garage style rock and roll was loud and in your face, along with the sock of drummer, Tomoharu “Gian” Ito, who is well known for performing almost naked and getting arrested for it in Hong Kong a few years back.

The stage was cleared for Michael Monroe who gave a polished performance and also providing his showing the crowd his trade mark splits – hence why the stage is cleared!  Michael doesn’t know the meaning of slow, slower, slowest, it is all full on moves across the stage, mic stand falling over and him like a whirling dervish – this is Michael after all….. the true showman!
