ELLIOT MOSS

H I G H S P E E DS OUT 25.09.15 —- Upstate New Yorker Elliot Moss is pleased to announce details of his debut album Highspeeds on 25th September through Play It Again Sam. Released in the US earlier this year through Grand Jury (Twin Peaks, Hippo Campus) and embracing acclaim courtesy of the likes of Spin and The Fader, the album will be pre-empted by debut track ‘Slip’. The unofficial visual accompaniment, choreographed and edited by Phillip Chbeeb has, thus far attracted in excess of 19 million views on Facebook, and can be viewed here:

Highspeeds, a breathtakingly emotive record, sees Moss effortlessly drawing on electronic, jazz and ambient influences resulting in a truly immersive soundscape. Collectively the twelve tracks juxtapose themes of hope and loss over powerful, repetitive rhythms. As Moss says: “it was born of a backdrop of seeing friends move away while I remained static. Everybody was moving on, doing their own thing…off to college or travelling. It felt like everyone was moving faster than I was, because all I was doing was sitting here making music.” Having debuted live in the US late last year at New York’s Rough Trade store, he has since supported Cold War Kids, appeared at this year’s SxSW festival and this Autumn should see a visit to these shores for a handful of UK dates.   TRACKLISTING: Highspeeds Big Bad Wolf Slip Into The Icebox (Binaural) Pattern Repeating Even Great Things I Can’t Swim Plastic II Faraday Cage About Time Best Light VCR Machine (CD + DL only)   ‘Highspeeds’ is available to pre-order via itunes with Instant Grat ‘Slip’:  https://smarturl.it/Highspeeds   And will also be available on limited 12” heavyweight vinyl and CD
