It won a Video of the Year accolade from the UK site Live4Ever
Formed in 2012, Desert Mountain Tribe released their debut album ‘Either That Or The Moon’ in the
spring of 2016 to positive reviews from UK publications such as Shindig, Classic Rock, Louder Than
War, Drowned In Sound and The Arts Desk. Subsequent releases have included two digital EP’s,
‘If You Don’t Know Can You Don’t Know Köln’ and ‘Live At St. Pancras Old Church’, plus the Youth mixed
single ‘Enos In Space (Top Of The World)’. The band spent much of 2017 on the road, including tours
of both North America and mainland Europe, with new drummer Frank van der Ploeg joining the group
in the autumn.
‘EITHER THAT OR THE MOON’
“Evokes prime era Cult and early, pre-croon Verve but could also rub shoulders in classic rock company. 4 out of 5.” SHINDIG!
“Desert Mountain Tribe have crafted one of 2016’s finest debuts in ‘Either That Or The Moon’. In fact, why stop at the moon? The galaxy is theirs for the taking. 9 out of 10.” DROWNED IN SOUND
“Epic reverb laden excursions into widescreen psych. 8 out of 10.” LOUDER THAN WAR
“The kind of confident form that sets them apart from the competition. 4 out of 5” UPSET
“An astounding debut album that nods to Black Rebel Motorcycle Club if they were on an even stronger cocktail of amphetamines and psychedelics. If guitar music appeals to you in a big way, then this is good sustenance for your ringing ears.” GIGWISE
“Songs such as the organ-fuelled ‘Enos In Space’ are on their way to somewhere fans of Kasabian may appreciate, although there’s more than enough squalling garage to keep the heads happy too.” THE ARTS DESK
“A triumphant album which plays to its strengths and then some. Desert Mountain Tribe are here to stay.” ECHOES AND DUST
