Deepshade are quickly making new friends with their formidable grungy
alternative-rock sound that pulls from the fundamental elements of Queens Of
The Stone Age and Alice In Chains, as well as plucking inspiration from The
Doors and even Beck. The Brit noise-smiths have released their new video
single ‘The Line’ at which is taken from their forthcoming
debut ‘Everything Popular is Wrong’, out in
stores on Friday 25th September.

Coming at you from Wigan, and born in late 2013, Deepshade consist of David
Rybka (vocals/guitar), Tom Doherty (bass) and Paul Barlow (drums). The
dynamic threesome hurl out a whole-hearted sonic experience that offers
something fresh and exciting to the British music scene. With an established
following already in tow, cultivated by a glut of blistering live shows,
Deepshade have also gained airplay support from BBC Introducing and a host
of alternative radio stations within the UK, EU and USA. In spite of being
together for just shy of eighteen months, the trio have also been recognised
by “The Guardian” as one of the ‘Hot Top Ten Unsigned British Bands To Check
Out’. The leftfield rock outfit didn’t remain unsigned for long though, as
they were recently swooped up and signed to UK label/management ‘Ambicon
Music Group’. The assiduous combo then, earlier this year, released a free
debut download single ‘Tattoo’, which garnered praise from Krank TV and rock
media worldwide.

Deepshade now stride forward with their debut album “Everything Popular is
Wrong”, recorded with producer John Kettle (Merry Hell, Moko, Tansads) and
mastered by Fran Ashcroft (Spin Jupiter Spin, Gorillaz). The record is a
call to arms for anyone who is absorbed by gritty rock akin to Kyuss and Led
Zeppelin. The band have set loose their new video for ‘The Line’, and it’s a
driving piece of contagious stoner-esque alt-rock which tips it hat to QOTSA
and Nirvana. With festival appearances and tours in the works, Deepshade are
ready to dominate.
