MONSTER MAGNET / MARGARITA WITCH CULT – KK’S WOLVERHAMPTON   24/9/24 

What an absolutely absorbing experience, I really took a shine to ‘Margarita Witch Cult’ and being local I’ll look out for them again. But Monster Magnet were off the scale, a spectrum of music that covered their early albums with visual effects and head storming artistry.

ASHEN REACH / ‘THE FEAR’ – EP LAUNCH with FALLING BELOW/EUROPA REIGN – GIFFARD 17/5/24  

I’ve been looking forward to this EP launch for quite some time. Ashen Reach are one of the new bands I follow, who have raised the bar, with their contemporary and innovative way of producing music. The debut ‘Homecoming’ was very special and my album of the year for 2020, it brought another aspect into modern metal and led the way to encourage bands, to break down barriers and move outside boxes.

Join Caz Parker on The Rock n Roll Penitentiary for a Mayor’s Fest Special, in conversation with legends Doddy White and Brett Hall with music from most of the bands and some sensible and some silly chit chat about it all. It’s happening at The Giffard Arms and KK'S Steel Mill in Wolverhampton and all for amazing local charities Give Us A Break, Wings & Paws and The Haven.Music on the show from most of the bands that are playing and a few new releases too!It would mean a lot to us all if you would take a listen, support the festival, the charities and the bands, I hope you enjoy it!

NWOCR LIVEFEST 2 / KK’S STEEL MILL  DAY 2  – 24/9/23 

So here we all are back at KK’s for Day 2. A few sore heads in the room no doubt, but like yesterday there’s already a decent crowd on the barrier at 2pm. After such a wicked Day 1 with ‘The Treatment’ finishing off in style, today another 8 bands are lined up to represent the NWOCR at LIVEFEST 2. There’s a few preliminary chats, introductions and friendly hugs, then I head on down to the front for the opening band.
