The Pat McManus Band + The Davidson Trio – 3 March 2023

Last Friday saw the welcome return to Birmingham of the one and only Pat McManus Band when they headlined at the excellent Billesley Rock Club.  One of the most respected outfits on the circuit, the Professor along with drummer Paul Faloon and bass man Plunkett McComb delivered a two hour set of top drawer blues and rock made up of tunes pulled from Pat’s Mama’s Boys days and his more recent catalogue including his latest release, Full Service Resumed, with a few covers thrown in for good measure.

PMB was superbly supported by a relatively new outfit, The Davidson Trio, a mostly blues cover band, who are quickly gaining a reputation as a must see.  The Davidson Trio is bass and vocals, Owen Davidson (Uli John Roth, Black Country Community, Spirit of Rush), Ben Bicknell, guitar and Ellis Brown on drums.
