‘Embrace The Rain’, the debut EP from West Midlands metalcore quintet, An Elegy, hits the streets this Monday (27th July 2015).  To celebrate the release of the eagerly anticipated debut EP, An Elegy have shared the lyric video for EP track ‘Hidebound’, featuring Richard Lardner of Lock And Key.

After spending over a year locked away at their rehearsal room situated in Birmingham city centre, extensively writing and recording their debut release ‘Embrace The Rain’, An Elegy are ready to unveil their masterpiece.

“We want to be able to make this dream a reality” says vocalist Sam Appleyard. “We have been sat on this band for the last 12 months, perfecting every little aspect of what we have prepared. We can’t wait to finally show people what we have created with An Elegy.”

An Elegy take to the road, in support of ‘Embrace The Rain’ throughout the Summer and Autumn, taking in the UK and Mainland Europe.

The quintet came together after previous bands had separated for one reason or another, which lead to a fresh start with the foundations of the group being build on their like minded attitudes and passion for music. With a determination to experience new cultures, perform and skateboard in as many places in the world as possible, An Elegy will not let anything block their path, as they try to make their dream a reality.

An Elegy unashamedly draw inspiration from bands from their youth (Slipknot/Linkin Park) through to the unexpected styles of Grime and Acoustic artists, and not forgetting the many bands they look up to today (Fit For A King/Architects).

‘Embrace The Rain’ will be self released on Monday 27th July, as a digital only release.
